Wickedly good witches

The first 3 books focus on Morgan Summers, a witch who can see ghosts & her return to Yew Hollow & the drama that ensues. Including being accused of murder, being betrayed by potential love interest & her role in the family coven. The narrator for these 3 books was great. Couldn't help but fall in love with Morgan & her sisters.

The final 3 books focus on Gwenlyn, who was introduced in book 3 of Morgans stories & new sisters Kennedy & Nora. These 3 books were not as strong as 1-3. Book 4 picks up 10 years after book 3. It was good to see what had become of Morgan, but the story around Kennedy & Nora was not as strong & believable, couldn't quiet get as invested. The narrator for books 4-6 was not as good, specially when she was miss pronouncing words including Salem.....

I got the Kindle version for about AUS$1.45 & audible version which included discounted audio version. For the price was definitely worth a listen, specially books 1-3.

I suggest you skip this one

I went to a play once call a Pass-Along-Exercise. Where each playwright only had access to the act right before theirs. So that from beginning to end it seems incredibly disjointed. That’s how this felt. The characters we are introduced to at the beginning resemble nothing by how they end up. The (supposedly) single author seems to forget her own plot points through the storyline.
Also the changing of narrator mid way is always a distraction for me and the second narrator mispronounced words through the whole reading. Again, an item that takes me out of the story. It’s was as if she had heard words before or never seen them in print at perhaps as if she had been programmed with words without the correct pronunciation included in her programming. Overall not a great experience

Made my ears bleed

The first 3 books made you like morgan and the second made you really dislike her. If they are good, why force people against their will. Then the storyline moves into Stockholm syndrome. The Story lines are not focused. Then there are two narrators. The second one made my ears bleed. Not only was her voice highly annoying, her monotone voice and apparent inability to pronounce words properly made the book seem a never ending torture. Spare you sanity and move on to something else.

Not impressed by narration

The narrator has a real problem pronouncing some English words, it's distracting when it happens.

Good story but disappointing narration

One of the narrators is very monotone which detracts from the enjoyment of the book. Agree with other reviews that lots of words are mispronounced.
