The international number one best seller

In 1943 a bomber crashes into the Pacific Ocean. Against all odds, one young lieutenant survives. Louis Zamperini had already transformed himself from child delinquent to prodigious athlete, running in the Berlin Olympics. Now he must embark on one of the Second World War’s most extraordinary odysseys. Zamperini faces thousands of miles of open ocean on a failing raft. Beyond like only greater trials, in Japan’s prisoner-of-war camps.

Driven to the limits of endurance, Zamperini’s destiny, whether triumph or tragedy, depends on the strength of his will …

Now a major motion picture, directed by Angelina Jolie and starring Jack O’ Connell.

Human Endeavour

This is an outstanding story of true human endeavour in terms of what a person is capable of surviving and what that does to them as a result as well as the horrible truth of what we as humans are capable of doing to other humans.

Amazing story of overcoming despite circumstances

I normally read business type books, but I'd heard about this story. It didn't disappoint as I enjoyed it getting through hours at a time while traveling.

Amazing and Intriguing read 😊

I was unaware of this book was put on to it when I was listening to Serial podcasts.
Loved listening to it in the car, at home when cooking and just relaxing. My children loved the story and always asked when I they were going to listen to this story. This story educated my family on the War and gave me a greater understanding to why my Grandparents were the people they were.
Would suggest this book to everyone of all ages

Incredibly powerful and moving

Unbroken, the incredible true story of Louis Zamperini, is powerful and moving. Loui's life, his resilience, strength, character, and ultimately his salvation and forgiveness of his captors show God's faithfulness and intervention in the hardest of situations. Captivatingly written by Laura Hillenbrand, I felt like I was living the story, it transported me. Edward Herrmann narrates it with so much life, feeling, and emotion, you almost feel what Louis was feeling. Highly recommended, I've been telling everyone about this book.
