Publisher's Summary

From Colleen Hoover, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of It Ends With Us, a heart-wrenching love story that proves attraction at first sight can be messy.

When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn't think it's love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

Never ask about the past.
Don’t expect a future.

They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.

Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.

It was ok

I struggled through this. I was not a fan of the performance and I found the story, although it had so much potential, to be mostly frustrating.

Difficult to listen to

This book was a struggle to get through, I almost didn’t finish it because the writing was so terrible and frustrating to listen to. My least favourite Colleen Hoover book so far.

Don’t bother

A struggle to get through this one. From the never ending repetition to the excruciatingly painful narrators, just don’t bother. It’s not worth it. Will forever shudder at the name Rachel.

Good story, terrible narrater

The story overall is good but if I never hear the name Rachel again it will be too soon. Myles’ story consists of far too many repetitive words like ‘Rachel’ and the narrater is monotone and very difficult to listen to. Tate’s story and narrater are much easier to listen to.

Didnt like it at the start but it grew on me.

I thought the charcters were great but the way she wrote the Miles chapters were annoying for me. It just was not relatable as a point of view. I thought that his story was extremely relatable and loved the interpretation of Ugly Love.

LOVEEED SO MUCH!

Never listened to a book faster than this one. I love the story and the way it was told with the different chapters from the other perspective set in a different time too.
It all just worked so seamlessly and made me want to keep listening to find out more but also the current period narration was sooo good.
It’s made me cry, feel the love and chemistry between the characters.
A fantastic Coleen Hoover book!!

Not my favourite Colleen book…

Honestly, this was a really hard listen but I wanted to finish it.
I found the narrators quite boring to listen to, quite monotone and cringy. It may have been more enjoyable if I read it myself.
The storyline itself was okay- pretty cliche. Definitely not one of my favourite Colleen books. Far too repetitive.

Ugly love and silent crying

Umm! The hold this book has left over me.
Finished it in a day because I NEEDED TO KNOW how it ended.
I thought I could see how the story line was going to end; and well serves me right for trying to assume because I didn’t see that happening. I thought something similar but THAT! Oh my goodness.

The last few words Miles speaks had tears so effortlessly falling from my face.

Do yourself a favour and take a day to listen to this in one sitting.
