A Fantastic Start

Made it through a few hours of this one before the moments of cringe made it a bit of a slog, it starts hard out of the gate with some emotional moments that had me all in, but the way the main character deals with some truly terrifying events coupled with a truly confusing sense of justice made it a bit too hard to continue. Will hopefully revisit this one and update the review if I do.

No surprises here

This was a bit disappointing. The story was okay, however I find this narrator over dramatise every single word in the story which gives the feeling of ham acting. And therefore the plants become unbelievable even for a fantasy novel. The listener is bombarded with over exaggerated pauses over exaggerated emotion and no respite.Trying to get past the narration you find the stories filled with cliches the hero comes across as a bit of a Twatt without substance.

Didn’t work for me

I had problems with the story in this. The language was just so over done and momentous. Why write one word when 10 will do. I gave it 10 hours but I just don’t care what happened in the story.

Hard listening for a Robert Jordan fan

boys own type of story

struggled to finish as it is too boys' adventure, overacted by the narrator and continuity poor.
