A great collection of murder mysteries.

A great value book collection containing the prequel as well as book one and two. The greatest part about these murder mysteries, is that they are down to earth cases. Unlike in most books where the case is so violent that it belongs in a horror book or film. The three cases you will get to read about if you buy this book are very believable. They are also the perfect book for people who don't like violence. This is a great way to enter the crime genre, and highly recommended.

Great Narration, decent story and plot pace

I really love the narrator, she does a great job with voices and accents, and has a nice pace to her speech, not too slow.

I like the overall story and most characters, good plot development and pace. This is a great summer read. I've had a few mysteries lately that were hit and miss, but this one was delightful. a good mix of mystery, love interests, family dynamics and beautiful descriptions of Oxford and the small English villages. I'll be keeping an eye out for future volumes.

Dreadful Detective

Was enjoying the book until the detective character popped up. The author gave him no personality and quite frankly he came across as conceited and unlikeable. Why any woman would be interested in a man like that is beyond me. It's a shame because I liked everything else, but the so called romance was just too juvenile and one dimensional, even for a light fluffy book such as this. Would have been happy to follow this entire series, but ultimately couldn't even finish the first book.

Twee

I was looking for something very easy and light, and I did get it, so I should probably give it another star. But it was just a little too sweet. If you want some cute sentimentality, through, go for it. Great narrator.
