Highly recommend if you like crime fiction

An excellent story well told. Brilliant writing style. Scottish accent the only let down, it had an Irish sound, a minor point, but because a lot of the venom comes through that accent its important. Other than that the narrator was excellent

Would have profited from some editing.

I was absolutely grabbed by the brilliant beginning and the middle, very atmospheric and full of life-like personages, but the story should have ended a three chapters earlier to make this book almost as good as "LA Confidential".

Loved the period feel

Excellent reading and characterisation by the narrator making of involved and often chilling story human, accessible and compelling. Felt like a long listen but enjoyable throughout.
