Publisher's Summary

When Rosie's best friend has an affair with her husband, the consequences reverberate through the lives of two families.

Relationships are torn apart, friendships shattered and childish innocence destroyed. Her daughter Daisy's fragile hold on reality begins to unravel when a letter arrives that opens old wounds. Rosie's son, Max, blames himself for everything that happened. And her ex-husband, Nick, has his own version of events. As long-repressed memories bubble to the surface, the past has never seemed more present and the truth more uncertain.

Critic Reviews

"A vivid and insightful portrayal of a family in crisis; Neill's writing is incisive and smart. A writer at the top of her game." (Gillian McCallister, author of Everything but the Truth)

Good family drama

I enjoyed the story told from 4 different viewpoints. I found the characters interesting and believable but I also found the narration for Rosie too slow and annoying to listen to.

My first review

I was so irritated by the narrators who read the roles of Nick and Rosie Rankin I feel the need to warn others by writing a review. The storyline was quite good but for me the slow and tedious voice of Rosie really spoiled it and the narrator for Nick didn't really create an authentic character.
