a bit of a talk up . I mean there operations were really a girl guides camp . but I'm sure if they were ever under real fire they would go OK . interesting point that the Australians SAS masterbate when on patrol

Very interesting

From an outsiders point of view with no knowledge or understanding of lifestyle, terminology or insight this was brilliant. As the girlfriend of an ex sas paratrooper this has given me so much greater understanding and ability to relate, talk and understand his previous experiences and better empathise with the ptsd he suffers chronically
Ty so much for a very enlightening but informative audio book

Positive propaganda

The title should have given it away; for this book was like reading articles from the Australian Army 'rag' (newspaper) - nothing but positive spin, and one-sided stories of awesomeness and humanity. The readers are expected to walk away from this book believing SASR members are saint-like paladins, and there's hardly a hint that any single SAS soldier might be anything other than perfect in mind, body and spirit. Even the logistical and support systems are praised as being virtually faultless. I almost vomited a little in my mouth, particularly when the author started praising the psychological debrief process that troopers receive, and how comprehensive and effective it is in preventing psychological problems.
Little surprise to learn that this book was endorsed by high up officers of the SASR and Army. Not bad, but pretty cringe-worthy.

Manic & Robotic

Lost interest early in the story, never made it to the end. Sounded like a six pm news reader.

Brilliantly put and well done to show respect .

well done book to show the side people do not see and understand the requirements and pressure of family life. Just goes to show the government should do more for retired service man and women.
