Between his work on the 2014 Audible Audiobook of the Year, Hamlet, Prince of Denmark: A Novel, and his performance of Classic Love Poems, narrator Richard Armitage ( The Hobbit, Hannibal) has quickly become a listener favorite. Now, in this defining performance of Charles Dickens' classic David Copperfield, Armitage lends his unique voice and interpretation, truly inhabiting each character and bringing real energy to the life of one of Dickens' most famous characters.

Publisher's Summary
Ria and Marilyn have never met - they live thousands of miles apart, separated by the Atlantic Ocean: one in a big, warm, Victorian house in Tara Road, Dublin, the other in a modern, open-plan house in New England.
Two more unlikely friends would be hard to find: Ria's life revolves around her family and friends, while Marilyn's reserve is born of grief. But when each needs a place to escape to, a house exchange seems the ideal solution.
Along with the borrowed houses come neighbours and friends, gossip and speculation as Ria and Marilyn swap lives for the summer....

A story to warm the heart
I loved Tara Road when I was younger and was glad to see that Kate Binchy reads this audiobook. Having lived in Ireland but not being Irish, I was very interested in the accents she gives different characters — I felt it injected a lot more class implications into the story than I had been aware of reading the novel. However, this is a warm, engaging reading of one of Maeve Binchy’s best stories, with a varied cast of characters who are exactly like the real Dubliners. If you need a pick-me-up, some easy listening that will carry you along and make you see the good and the true in a world full of sorrow and injustice, you should listen to Tara Road. Enjoy!

Great story but doesn't translate wel to narration
While I love this book I found that the narrated version wasn't as I expected.
