Publisher's Summary

From the number one international best-selling author of Holy Island and Dark Skies.

Ryan's most explosive case yet...

It's been five months since a killer walked free, and DCI Ryan is preparing to leave Newcastle to hunt him down - this time for good.

But Ryan's plans are scuppered when events take a dramatic turn and he is forced to stay and face his past one last time or watch a friend suffer the consequences.

Amid the chaos, another killer is preparing to strike. When the Tyne Bridge explodes, Ryan's team are faced with a frantic race to uncover a deadly foe who won't stop until every bridge is burned, along with everybody on it....

Murder and mystery are peppered with romance and humour in this fast-paced crime whodunit set amidst the spectacular Northumbrian landscape.

Fantastic

Once more a long journey across the Nullarbor plain Australia has been enhanced by listening to DCI Ryan and the dulcet tones of Johnathan Keeble.

Fabulous Narrative

A fantastic book with twists that l never saw coming.
DCI Ryan, a no nonsense, not over the top, sensible, believable down to earth character.
Jonathan Keeble is absolutely superb and a brilliant flowing narrator.

One of the Best Stories Yet!

LJ Ross doesn't just have a genuine talent for writing. She takes mysteries full of suspense, multiple plot threads, makes us fall in love with and feel the joy, laughter and pain of her characters and intersects these into artworks of modern crime fiction.

In Seven Bridges, there isn't just a criminal challenge that had me devouring every word to find out what happened next. There is an extremely insightful, touching and ultimately tragic exploration of human error, cruelty and those temptations and bad choices that fracture friendships. One of my favourite novels in one of my favourite series!

Where was MI5 ?

I cannot even pretend to be knowledgeable about the British Security Services and protocol but I would have thought that a major incident, such as that which the story centres around would have resulted in a more higher level response from the government. Of course that wouldn't haves served the storyline for our favourite characters but it did have me scratching my head on several different occasions! Saved by the talented Jonathan Keeble's narration.

Healing a Homesick Geordie Girl.

I love the DCI Ryan series, I feel like I know the characters and I love the humour.
As a Geordie girl living in Australia the familiarity of the places and wonderful descriptions bring back memories of the place I still call home.

A tweek is needed

Jonathan needs to take a breath or pause when going from one situation to another in the story - other than that he is a brilliant reader.t
