Publisher's Summary

The complete unabridged audiobook of J.R.R Tolkien's The Hobbit.
Bilbo Baggins is a hobbit who enjoys a comfortable, unambitious life, rarely travelling further than the pantry of his hobbit-hole in Bag End. But his contentment is disturbed when the wizard, Gandalf, and a company of 13 dwarves arrive on his doorstep one day to whisk him away on an unexpected journey ‘there and back again’. They have a plot to raid the treasure hoard of Smaug the Magnificent, a large and very dangerous dragon....
The prelude to The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit has sold many millions of copies since its publication in 1937, establishing itself as one of the most beloved and influential books of the 20th century.

Books are ALWAYS Better than Films!!!!

I loves this audios books, Precious!

The narrator has a very soft voice so it is great for anyone who has sound intolerance like me, because his voice is easy on the ears.

I'm going to read The Lord of the Rings next and I am SO excited to discover the story!

I am pretty disgusted by the films now, Peter Jackson clearly only made these films for Hollywood and a few million dollars in his pocket.

The storyline in the books is so much better than the movies, it makes no sense to me why he would keep the situations but change their context completely? -when the way the book was intended to be told was far better than Jacksons b**t**dised version.

I am actually kind of terrified to discover how badly PJ messed up LOTR!!!
