I wanted to enjoy it but .....

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Tad Williams. I have been since reading his early stuff 25 years ago. I've enjoyed some of his new stuff too (The War of the Flowers, for example).

This book came with some good reviews so I thought I'd give it a go. Unfortunately I just didn't enjoy it! I found it slow and unexciting, with two dimensional characters. Also, the narrator wasn't to my liking although he did a respectable job. I struggled to finish and can't say it will stick in my mind.

Hopefully others will enjoy it more than me.
