Publisher's Summary

A stunningly unique take on time travel. The 27th bestselling Kindle book of 2017—out of almost 6 million titles!

What if you found a way to send something back in time? But not weeks, days, or even minutes back. What if you could only send something back a fraction of a second? Would this be of any use? You wouldn't have nearly enough time to right a wrong, change an event, or win a lottery.

Nathan Wexler is a brilliant physicist who thinks he's found a way to send matter a split second back into the past. But before he can even confirm his findings, he and his wife-to-be, Jenna Morrison, find themselves in a battle for their very lives. Because while time travel to an instant earlier seems useless, Jenna comes to learn that no capability in history has ever been more profound or far-reaching.

Now, as Jenna fights to defeat the powerful forces arrayed against her, nothing less than the fate of humanity hangs in the balance. . .

Split Second is a roller-coaster ride of a thriller, one that will have readers pondering the nature of time, and of reality, long after they've read the last page

I loved this book

A Really unique perspective on time. It allowed me to understand time on a new plain... all the while enjoying an action packed novel.
A bit violent. I don't usually like violent novels but it gives it a serious feel as a result.

Good Ideas, Too Many Cliches

I mostly enjoyed listening to this book, but in some parts I felt a bit as I was listening to a kids adventure story.
Good science ideas and concepts, but could use better dialogues

I wanted to like it

I’m still trying, but in the edge of swapping it out.
Why?
Narrator sounds like a newsreader. Worsts one I’ve heard for ages. Just reading.
Story really annoyed me when I was lectured to for half an hour on the mindset of American soldiers in the Middle East. I mean- if you can’t stand the heat stay the hell out of the kitchen. Holier than thou- can’t stand that American supremacist bull crap. I’m Australian - give me a break.
Main characters - woman has been traumatised yet is just cool as a cucumber.
The language is so unlikely.
PI is cardboard - but the main problem is the narrator giving staccato, non expressive reading. It’s eloquent but that’s all.
- I’ll give it 10 more minutes just to see if FINALLY we find out what the entire story is about.
Ugh.
