Nothing to do with Prospero
This is an ok story if you like space wolves. It has nothing to do with Prospero or the thousand sons. It ignores prospero and tells its own story. It is also terrible compared to the thousand sons book it is supposed to mirror, which is amazing.

An absolute struggle to finish
I found this one an absolute struggle to finish, more than any Horus Heresy book thus far. Unless you're a die-hard Space Wolves fan, skip and read the plot points online. Super disappointing.

don't even bother
what an utter amateur mess. GW should recall and rewrite this title. Completely uninspired and confused space hulk of words and ideas

Space Wolves 🐺
Not what I was expecting but pretty good. I was worried by the verbiage in the beginning, but once they started talking normally I really liked it

Twists and turns
The story is like a weave, the skeins of which are folded back and forth to create a very rewarding tale. A happy ending? Do any of the heresy books end happily? I’m now a fan of the space wolves at least.

One of the best so far
Really shows the wolves of fenris to be much more than mindless savages, as they have previously been depicted.

Seeing the other side
Loved the other side of the story, was a little hard to follow at times but all fell into place.

Skip
A pointless read to give you a one chapter summary of a previous book right at the end. Any lore from this would have been better explored in a different story rather than wasting the time to retell a story that was fully covered several books ago.

Prospero is eventually mentioned
if you are wanting the fall of the 1000 sons from another perspective this is not the book.
this is a great story exploring the space wolves, their lore and traditions. it lumbers along for the most part. but it is enjoyable as a listen. prospero is almost an after thought in the story.
well read, great naration. But you will be disappointed if you are wanting more from your favourite chaotic space nerds chapter.
