First great story of the War Doctor
Briggs’ impression of John Hurt as the War Doctor is incredible! The dialogue is witty and the story is compelling. A perfect doctor novel and I want more stories about this 8.5th Doctor incarnation since the show only gave us a fraction of an episode on the War Doctor.

it's fine
nothing inspiring, but it does give us some insight into the war doctor albeit not much. no idea why he's not "worthy" of the name doctor. sound design is great at per BBC makes sure. it's a fun small distraction, with some fun concepts.
