Particularly as it’s carried though space on the back of a giant turtle (sex unknown). It plays by different rules. But then, some things are the same everywhere. The Disc’s very existence is about to be threatened by a strange new blight: the world’s first tourist, upon whose survival rests the peace and prosperity of the land.

Story
Piranesi lives in the House. Perhaps he always has. In his notebooks, day after day, he makes a clear and careful record of its wonders: the labyrinth of halls, the thousands upon thousands of statues, the tides that thunder up staircases, the clouds that move in slow procession through the upper halls. On Tuesdays and Fridays Piranesi sees his friend, the Other. At other times he brings tributes of food to the Dead. But mostly, he is alone.

Really good!
This rendition had Neil narrating the old stories and really great American narrators voicing the others.
I haven’t seen the tv show but I will now!

Slow Burn with Great Cast
The story is interesting but crawls at a snail’s pace. It starts to pick up by the end but I feel like most people would get bored way before that point. The narrator and voice acting cast did a fantastic job keeping me hooked into the story even when I felt it was dragging it’s feet.

excellent book
Thoroughly enjoyed this book having previously enjoyed Norse Mythology. I really enjoy folklore and historic tales. This didn't disappoint at all, a wonderful winding journey through life and the current ideology people cling too.
I haven't seen the TV series and may never watch it but I can highly recommend this to anyone with even a casual interest in mythology.

Amazing performances, great fun story
This was my first audio book, what a great choice. The performances were absolutely brilliant, I was immersed the whole way. The story was fun and if you like mythology, you will get a lot of kicks along the way. I now have a bit more reading to do as this has piqued my curiosity in many ways....
