Headline

It was alright, some stories were good, others almost made me want to give up on the series.

enjoyed it

I never really like short story compilations because just when I would get into a character it would end, not this one. maybe it's because I already know most of the characters but I really enjoyed this one.

Savage Weapons in particular for this review

Good story besides the random palpatine leap that conrad did that the lion could have easily impaled him with. One thing that I cannot understand for the life of me is why does that 1.5hr audiobook have 17 chapter!? It's so stupid hearing so many chapter breaks in such a short amount of time!

If you like the short stories, go for it, but...

Some great stories and narrators. However, I simply can't stand Martyn Ellis as a narrator, his voice/voices and pattern of speech drive me nuts. If you can stand it then this will be great for you.

mixed bag, but still good

being a compilation you get a mixed bag, some of the stories are great and some feel like filler but if you like 30k you'll like this book

Spoilt by one narrator but otherwise great.

I just cannot listen to one of the narrators his cadence and breathing style put my teeth on edge. The rest are fabulous and the stories are great. It is just a shame that I found that one so unpleasant to listen to that I could not even finish the novellas he read.
