Publisher's Summary

The charm of spending the Christmas holidays in South Wales, with its crumbling castles and ancient myths, seems the perfect distraction from the nightmares that have plagued literary agent Lyn Ravenshaw since the loss of her baby five years ago. Instead she meets an emotionally fragile young widow who's convinced that Lyn's recurring dreams have drawn her to Castle Farm for an important purpose - and she's running out of time. With the help of a reclusive, brooding playwright, Lyn begins to untangle the mystery and is pulled into a world of Celtic legends, dangerous prophecies, and a child destined for greatness.

Not to Susanna Kersleys normal standards

The story seemed weak lacking the depths that this author can produce. It was enjoyable but just not as good as the rest of her stories. The narrator was over excited and sometimes was uncomfortable to listen to and over dramatic. A great shame I usually enjoy this author immensely

Poor narrative

A good book ruined by ridiculous and inappropriate accents. I will be paying closer attention to the narrator before my next purchase

Good story to start, overly dramatic performance

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I did not really like this production despite quite enjoying other Susanna Kearsley audiobooks as I found that the dramatic, gregarious reading of the character Lyn was overblown and did not match the author's intention.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I could not get past about chapter 4. It was just too aggressive; I look for pleasant escapes when listening, not stark reflections of my own stressful life :-).

Would you be willing to try another one of Katherine Kellgren’s performances?

I must admit I'm really put off by her interpretation. I found it pushed all my pompous buttons.

Did Named of the Dragon inspire you to do anything?

Try another Kearsley book.
