Heartwarming

Absolutely loved the story. Made me want to go to Tuscany straight away.
There is a gentleness to Mc Call Smith's stories that show his deep understanding of humanity without having to resort to exaggeration.

Light Hearted and Lovely

Alexander McCall Smith has a gentle way about telling stories. This one had characters who were a little complicated and heart warming. I found it endearing and funny. An enjoyable read/ listen.
