Publisher's Summary

In this prequel to the apocalyptic horror series, an overnight gig turns into a nightmare when zombies start coming for blood.

After a long day on the job, house painter Gus Berry is looking forward to relaxing and spending some time with his girlfriend before returning to work the next day. But none of that is going to happen.

Gus’s coworker Benny has found them a painting gig at the local Mollymart East, and it has to be done by morning. If Gus and his crew can complete the work on time, it could mean huge business with a major grocery store chain.

But as Gus and his fellow painters are about to discover, the much-anticipated zombie apocalypse doesn’t start with a bang; it starts on a Monday. And barricading themselves inside a megastore isn’t the end—it’s only the beginning . . .

Car, Drive, Crash, Repeat

After about the 3rd time someone got into a car to do exactly the same thing as every time I got over weak useless characters. couldn't finish this book, and I've sat through all 6 Sharknado movies before.

Really good, wish it were longer (as usual)

I listened to books 1-3 and then the prequel (don't forget the hospital - it fits anywhere, but I think it was great after book 3). The prequel did a great job of covering the back story. Had some shocks and some laughs. ou could easily listen to this first if you wanted to.

ok so far

when you compare this to other books of the same sort of story it is lacking a great deal I am hoping as it goes on it gets better but at the moment for money value to some other authors its just not up to par with them

Well written and performed. Provided some great and heartbreaking context to the mountain man we know.

Excellent

What a great prequel to the first book!! RC Bray does an excellent job as per usual and fits the mountain man perfectly in my mind. Great story, freaky and heart wrenching in its delivery and the pace at which things turn to sh.... pear shaped.

can't wait to read the next prequel!
