Story

Predicatable soap opera
- By Leanne Mifflin on 10-05-2017
Publisher's Summary
Shortlisted for best audiobook in the Specsavers National Book Awards 2018.
I seen a kid killed.... He strangled it, up by the horse.
When Billy, a troubled young man, comes to private eye Cormoran Strike's office to ask for his help investigating a crime he thinks he witnessed as a child, Strike is left deeply unsettled. While Billy is obviously mentally distressed and cannot remember many concrete details, there is something sincere about him and his story. But before Strike can question him further, Billy bolts from his office in a panic.
Trying to get to the bottom of Billy's story, Strike and Robin Ellacott - once his assistant, now a partner in the agency - set off on a twisting trail that leads them through the backstreets of London, into a secretive inner sanctum within Parliament and to a beautiful but sinister manor house deep in the countryside.
And during this labyrinthine investigation, Strike's own life is far from straightforward: his newfound fame as a private eye means he can no longer operate behind the scenes as he once did. Plus, his relationship with his former assistant is more fraught than it ever has been - Robin is now invaluable to Strike in the business, but their personal relationship is much, much more tricky than that....
The most epic Robert Galbraith novel yet, Lethal White is the gripping next instalment in the ongoing story of Cormoran Strike and Robin Ellacott.

Love Strike & Robin
I love this series, Robert Glenister is the perfect narrator BUT the irritating, unnecessary and irrelevant quotations and references at the beginning of each chapter break up the mood and flow of the story. When reading from a book, the reader can skip them but cannot when listening to an audiobook. It’s a pity.

Best Book Of The Series... So Far!
This is the fourth book of the series (I have read all four of the books in this series to date) & it’s a great read! JK Rowling (under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith) has created fabulous characters, good plots & interesting twists & turns in this wonderful detective story which has a delightful undertow of the blossoming love story between the protagonist (Strike) & the deuteragonist (Robin). I can’t wait for the fifth edition where I hope they FINALLY fall into each other’s arms! 😊

Should have stopped at 3.
I love this series and have re read and listened to them 5 or 6 times. I even watched the TV Series, (don't bother) but this one was a giant winge form Robyn, she marries an idiot she didn't love or belong with and wonders why it doesn't work out. A waste of a book. Robyn is a strong independent, smart woman and none of those qualities show through in this book. I want my money back.

Not as Good as the first
A bit disappointed that a lot of the story was on Mathew and Robyn’s miserable Wedding and first year of arguing. I would be happy to see the end of Matthew don’t really think he adds anything worth while to the story. Look forward to seeing Robyn get a bit more back bone in the next novel.
Looking forward to the next Cameron Strike book.
