such a great resource

I've really benefited so far from all the content - information and skills - included in this home study manual. listening instead of reading means I can make the most of my commute. the course is broken into sensible and effective sections to gradually build your confidence. I'm very excited about my upcoming birth experience, now, regardless of exactly how it plays out - ie I have developed a much greater sense of being able to accept and roll with something that may not be my ideal scenario, and previously it was those thoughts that generated the most fear for me.

the audio book includes one of the hypnosis CDs abs the rest can be purchased at reasonable prices on their website.

Not too bad , worth a go!

I used this book to get ready for the birth of my son, first baby. Although I wasn't 100% sure I was a hypnobirth mum I did want tips to relax and think about things differently and reduce my anxiety.

Initially I put this on a faster speed cos the voice annoyed me and it took a while to get into the "meaty bits"

Ultimately I went overdue and was due to be induced, then, in the end I had to be cut open very quickly to have my bub - the chapter about fear and release really helped as, things escalated quickly and I was able to keep thinking about the tips and keep my mind calm and be ok with the quick plan change.

I'd probably use this audio in conjunction with the/ a book as it was useful to listen to before bed but it's annoying you can't see the title of the chapters to flick Back to. I used the notes functionality liberally tho to playback bits to my husband.

Just to let you know, I work for Audible, but the views expressed in this review are 100% my own.

Could have been better

Unfortunately the reader has quite a nasal voice and consistently mispronounces words, for example every time she says "ekspecially".
There is also quite a long section which just assumes that the reader will be religious. This book can be useful to non-religious people as well. It's a shame because a lot of the information is good.

pronunciation made it hard for me to enjoy

Loved the content however the narrator/writer of the book cannot pronounce her words correctly, for example especially is not pronounced expecially, and there were a bunch of other similar mistakes. I couldn't stand it and I'd be stewing over it for a number of minutes before I'd get over it just for her to do it again and the cycle went on. Then there's the slurring the end of sentences together when she's misread what's in front of her, constantly through the whole book and my final annoyance was the saliva smacking I could hear, have a drink for pittys sake. As I said the content was great and I certainly found it helpful, it was just dreadfully hard to listen to.
