Christians today cannot employ a truly biblical view of the Bible unless they understand why the prophets and apostles interpreted Scripture the way they did.

Story
Turning the other cheek does not mean standing by while the enemies of God dismantle Christian civilization and brainwash our children. Decrying the cowardice that masquerades as meekness, Eric Metaxas summons the Church to battle. An attenuated and unbiblical “faith” based on what Bonhoeffer called “cheap grace” has sapped the spiritual vitality of millions of Americans. Paying lip service to an insipid “evangelism,” they shrink from combating the evils of our time. Metaxas refutes the pernicious lie that fighting evil politicizes Christianity.

The Communist Manifesto (1848), Marx and Engels' revolutionary summons to the working classes, is one of the most important and influential political theories ever formulated. After four years of collaboration the authors produced this incisive account of their idea of Communism, in which they envisage a society without classes, private property or a state. They argue that increasing exploitation of industrial workers will eventually lead to a revolution in which Capitalism is overthrown.

As relevant now as when it was written!
Few writers have the ability to see the big picture and explain it so well. These prophetic words have never been more true as in our time. Solid mind food and a reminder of the TRUTH! Beautifully read too.

A profound overview of philosophical thought.
Recommended to the young person seeking to understand more in-depth the current moral and philosophical condition of the post-modern man. At the conclusion of the book you will be left thinking, challenged to better grasp the elusive problems of the existential questions of purpose and meaning and also compelled, as by a call to arms, to be a voice in our society reminding people of the necessity of the absolute!
