This book works!!

I have any read 10% of the book and we have applied the advice given so far and great results are coming in already. Just read it, the author shows light at the areas that "you don't know that you don't know"

Must read for sleep training

I have read many books on sleep training now and I feel this book really covers what other books don’t cover! It answered a lot of the questions I had when it came to sleep training and it does cover other methods as well and why it advocates extinction. I also expected it would be a very harsh method in all rounds because it’s extinction but it wasn’t more gives reasons why he doesn’t advocate checkins. I also found it very informative when it came to nap scheduling and when to start for it to be effective which I haven’t come across in other books it just tells you to do it or not do it.

Downside of the book like others have mentioned is there is a lot of repetition. Repetition on key points are fine if you’re ducking in and out of chapters but even the case studies are repeated which I felt was unnecessary. Also, not fault of the author but the audible chapters don’t align with the book and would be good if it was named so it’s easier to revisit chapters. But still giving it 5 stars because of the content covered and I felt like I learnt a lot!

Jumbled

Chapters don’t match up with audio titles. Good information but very repetitive and jumbled. Difficult to refer back to info as you don’t know where to find it.
