Publisher's Summary

Award-winning comedian Sarah Millican plays Sarah, life counsellor and modern-day agony aunt in the collected first two series of this BBC Radio 4 comedy.

Solving the nation's problems with her support group, she wants you to live life to the utmost, and she's got tons of ideas of how to help. In the same way as the busybody at the end of your street who knows everything, and supported by her team of experts (local cabbie Terry and self-qualified counsellor Marion), Sarah dishes out advice whether you want to hear it or not and tackles the nation's problems head-on, dishing out real advice for real people.

Things you wish you could say

Enjoyable easy listening with a great cast. Good enough that I’d listen to her other audiobook offerings.

ANNOYING in the extreme!!!

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Whilst Sarah is funny on TV and does say some amusing things in this book, there is a constant fake laugh track and the scenes are staged as if they are spontaneous interactions when it becomes VERY clear they are all prewritten.

Had to stop listening as it was so very, VERY annoying.

MOST disappointing and I found she must think all listeners are idiots.

Would you ever listen to anything by Sarah Millican again?

Not unless it was a straight book and not a pretend performance.

You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?

She did say some whimsical, comedic things but the enjoyability of these was eclipsed but the fake performances and annoying and repetitive laugh track.
