Publisher's Summary

Poppy Day is an ordinary woman. She's a 32-year-old stay-at-home mum with two gorgeous children, while her husband Mart tours with the army. Her simplest pleasure is having her family together in a happy home. But Poppy is too busy to notice the fatigue in her body and the menacing lump growing on her breast. If there's anyone strong enough to defeat cancer it's Poppy. But does life really work like that?

Sad journey filled with love

Enjoyed this book -couldn’t stop listening - the one negative is with the narration, even though the narrator was excellent - there was a distracting and annoying “ clicking “ noise during some chapters 😖

What did you like best about this story?

I bought this book as a bit of escapism - easily listening - what I got was a beautifully written and narrated story of family life battling against a terminal illness. Yes it may seem a bit over the top at times but then with such a heart wrenching story it needs something to stem the tears. Loved it from start to finish - can't wait to get another from this author

What about Melody Grove’s performance did you like?

Really well narrated.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Both laughed and cried - you travel the journey with Poppy and Martin

I Will Remember This Book.

I loved this book. Yes it is overly sentimental and does manipulate your feelings (like music in a movie) but I feel in love with Poppy Day and her wonderful family. Get those tissues out and enjoy this beautifully narrated story of a young mum dealing a tough hand the best way possible - with grace, strength, anger, tears and laughter.
