One of my most favourite authors... Totally new way of enjoying her books in audio format! Loved it will done.
This is my first Melody Anne story, and overall it was good, but compared to other contemporary romances in my library, this one did leave me feeling little underwhelmed. It had a decent plot, the characters were likable, and there is some romance, but there all on the milder side. I give this story three stars, had it been more intense, or exciting, it would have easily been a four star story.
On his deathbed, the father to the Armstrong brothers gives his sons some shocking news about his last wishes. In order for the brothers to receive their inheritance, they must clean up their act, become successful members of society, and marry. The brothers collectively are not happy about the news, and each handle it their own way. Six months later, Cooper Armstrong is out with his brother, having a good time, when he meets a beautiful women. They talk, flirt, and spend the night together, but they never give their names. The next morning, while Stormy is doing her walk of shame, she tells herself this was just a one night stand, and she will never see her dreamy green eye guy again. Six years later, Stormy is working at a small latte shop located in the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, and is shocked speechless when she comes face to face with her dreamy green eye guy. She gets frazzled when she realizes this arrogant, confident, sexy airplane pilot doesn't remember her.... at all. That's fine with her, she just won't tell him, and will deflect all his advances. Through a series of unfortunate events, they end up in the same house, and when recognizes finally sets in, the games begin. Along the way, there's plot twists, romance and a few sex scenes.....some more steamier than others.
This is the first story I've listened too narrated by Teri, and I thought she did a great job. Yeah, I would have preferred a m/f dual narration, but Teri did a great job on both the m/f characters.
While the story did leave me feeling underwhelmed, it kept me engaged, the narration was good, and we get insight into the other brothers. They all sounded intriguing, especially Ace, so I hoping the next story will be more exciting. We'll see. I listened for free with KU.

The story was a little weak. My biggest gripe was the names of the brothers. Seriously, what well off parents are going to name their kids, "Maverick", or "Ace"?
And then there was all the sex. Graphic sex.
I'm not a prude, but that wasn't what I was looking for. I guess it's my own fault, and I should have read more reviews, or sought out more information.
All that aside, the narrator did an amazing job. Great inflection, distinct voices for each character, and a pleasant presentation. Great job with that.

Started off promising enough but by chapter 30 it read like bad fanfiction. The characters were two dimensional, the story riddled with plot holes. At one point I wondered if I had somehow skipped a chapter because there was a major development without any preamble. Nonsense.
