Publisher's Summary

Ellie Truman’s widowed mum is struggling to keep Gwel Teg, the family hotel in Cornwall, afloat. Ellie is determined to do everything in her power to help her, even if that means moving back to the sleepy Cornish village she fled from broken-hearted a few years ago. Things go wrong from the start, and she’s grateful for the help from hunky guest Reece Mitchell. But does Reece have ulterior motives? Will Ellie’s efforts be for nothing?

It’s ok..

I like to listen to fluffy books at bedtime so I can drift off and I’m not kept awake with suspense or interest.
Some of these types of simple sweet books can have character and are quite charming. I listened to this one hoping it got better and the characters wouldn’t be so intensely cliche but it never got there. Fine for a listen because it was free but absolutely wouldn’t buy it.

Easy listen

The story was pleasant enough to listen to but very slow and predictable. Not my usual style of story.

Easy Listen

A sweet story. An easy listen when driving especially, as you didn’t have to concentrate to hard to follow along

Not Corny... Cornish

I don't agree that the novel is corny. Falling in love and speaking your truth is mushy, loving, and perfuse. If you have not been loved, it might seem corny... on the other hand?

Easy Listening, very Cliche.

Its everything you expect in an easy reading/listening romantic novel and turns out exactly as you think it will.

Great listen, great story line

Good holiday read, not a deep story line, it gave me a few laughs and a little tear here and there. Overall I enjoyed this book and I love the reader Katy Sobey. Listened to her read many times.

Very tame

No real highs and lows to speak of, A pleasant enough portrayal of events in the lives of some people connected by a hotel. I found it all a bit Mills and Boon and the secrecy around the business activities a bit unlikely. Needed a bit more drama or action I think. The characters themselves I liked.
