A good listen

I love listening to Jono Moyes. Her skill in blending eras and the characters therein is clever and sensitive. Just right for a cold rainy afternoon by the fire. Thank you Jojo.

Wasn’t sure but...

It took a while for me to warm to the narrator, at first it was like she was singing the story but she really grew on me and was excellent with accents. A really heart warming story. Jojo Moyes captures family dynamics so well.

Surprisingly not great

Slow and unsatisfying. Just too much going on and much of it uninteresting. The reveal isn't worth the wait and the ending is overwrought.

Family rupture and repair

A good story true to Jojo Moyes' style of interweaving stories across generations and painting a glimpse of life juxtaposing the old with new. She captures the complexity and misunderstandings that rip families apart.
