Publisher's Summary

When Lady Helena Simpson flees an unwanted marriage to a revolting lord, she finds refuge with James, a charming, handsome man unlike any she's ever known. Helena concocts the perfect solution to her problem. She asks - begs - James to ruin her. Surely her betrothed will repudiate her if she is no longer pure. And if all her efforts fail and she still ends up married to a horrid man until the end of her days, she will at least once have known true passion.

But James is not all he seems. He is, in fact, a wicked lord with a dark fancy. When Helena awakens his desire, he becomes determined to take everything she has to offer and more. No matter the cost.

James does not do Vanilla.

This story is like Fifty Shades of Regency and the first 8 chapters pretty much consist of a whole lot of "knub' tweaking during the 'instruction' into an innocent's sensual discovery, and not much else. Yes, this is all wrapped around a decent storyline which does take an interesting turn sometime thereafter. It all ends neatly but feels brief/rushed.

If erotica is your thing, this book is hot, but if it isn't, it's definitely not.

For me, today, it was hot - and I felt a bit wicked (and weird) as I made sandwiches for my retired parents' lunch whilst secretly listening to the story unfold through wireless headphones.

There were no heinous villains. (Great?) Uncle Andrew was a gem. Eloise was unabashedly curious. James' character could've been rough or creepy but was more like a Regency Christian Grey. Lottie Lush's narrative style was excellent as always.

I give this 2 'knubs' up and recommend to anyone game for a steamy story.

Delicious

Beautifully erotic. Enjoyed aurally and physically. Definitely looking up more by this wonderfully talented author. If you're looking for great erotica, look no further
