Publisher's Summary

Some things just wont stay buried.

The number one Sunday Times best-selling author returns with the much anticipated new Logan McRae thriller.

What drives someone to murder?

Logan McRae's personal history is hardly squeaky clean, but now that he works for Professional Standards he's policing his fellow officers.

When Detective Inspector Bell turns up dead in the drivers seat of a crashed car, it's a shock to everyone. Because Bell died two years ago. They buried him. Or they thought they did.

As an investigation is launched into Bell's stabbing, Logan digs into his past. Where has he been all this time? Why did he disappear? And what's so important that he felt the need to come back from the dead?

But the deeper Logan digs, the more bones he uncovers - and there are people out there who will kill to keep those skeletons buried. If Logan can't stop them, DI Bell won't be the only one to die.

Brilliant narration of a brilliant novel

MacBride is an instant buy for me and THE BLOOD ROAD is another excellent entry in a series that seems unstoppable.

Clever and crackingly funny, THE BLOOD ROAD is wonderful audio entertainment. The narrator is perfect for the read and knows exactly how to lean in on the sarcasm and humour when it is needed.

P.S. I have picked up quite a few good new insults to hurl at my teenagers. Bonus!

Excellent addition to the series

Is there another Police man who can live through as much as Logan McRae? The Scottish John McClane!

Brilliant, as Usual!

Love Stuart McBride!
Love Logan and Roberta et al!
Love Steve Worsley!
If you are a fan of Stuart/Logan books, then The Blood Road will not disappoint. Steve Worsley brings an already suspenseful police procedural to wonderful, Scottish life.
Please hurry with the next Logan McRae book, Stuart. And please don't change your narrator. 👍👏

Best yet

So good to have Logan back on the beat! And with a new love interest. Great story, great narration - as always from Steve Worsley who IS both Logan and Steel simultaneously.
Thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks Stuart, you little fudge monkey.

Gut clenching story

All the gang in a disturbing tale of good cops and evil people. This book is scary and bleak. Logan is a lovely miserable git and again, Roberta Steele, Tufty, and Rennie supply a refreshing distraction from all the emotional horror in this book. A great story Mr MacBride but I hope the next installment isn't as harrowing.

Always a great yarn

The characters of Logan and Steel are always engaging. This storyline flowed along with some great twists and suspense to the end! Love the narration

Disappointed

Should have been cut back to 30 chapters. Too much useless information e.g phone music, food purchases. Surely police are not as stupid as how these were described. Not recommended.

Brilliant author & best narrator

Stuart MacBride is so entertaining. You actually know his characters so well. They absolutely come to life especially with Steve Worsley narrating. My life grinds to a stand still with every new MacBride book. I just have to stop and listen. It’s impossible not to become engrossed. Always a treat. Bring on the next one
