Dark, depressing
Glorifies crime. Devalues life and morals. Not suitable for those wishing to support positive mental health.

The Wicked Side of the Sherlock Holmes World
A fantastic introduction to Professor Moriarty that may well have been written by Arthur Conan Doyle himself. The story is told from the perspective of an underworld figure to detail some of his early experiences with Professor Moriarty. It is greatly reminiscent of Watson following along with Holmes on his adventures, but from a playfully wicked angle.
Graeme Malcolm narrates superbly. One of my highlight's being his portrayal of a crime boss in the second chapter.
TL;DR: If you enjoy Sherlock Holmes and are even a little curious about the evil side of that world then you'll enjoy this. If only there were more than the three short tales featured here.

Mystery for Dummies
I ADORE And Weir's novels. Love them all to pieces! Go read one, right now, seriously.
He just doesn't seem to be able to wrangle mystery shorts.
It's not exactly that they're bad; I just feel that the clues are anything but hidden. I'm genuinely terrible at picking up on clues or predicting plots even in media that isn't at all mysterious in nature. I mean, I watched Fight Club, forgot everything about it, and then even when I watched it the second time I still didn't work out what was going on until the protagonist did. My point is, if even I think that these plots were quickly, easily and obviously predictable, I daresay any true fan of mystery will be left wanting to tear their hair out whilst screaming.
Nevertheless, this definitely isn't some of the worst content on Audible, and it is free. A bad guy version of Sherlock Holmes; not a terrible way to while away an hour. YMMV.
Narrator Graeme Malcolm gives a varied and jolly performance that does a great job of bringing life to the text, with solid accent work.

Bravo
after just listening to the 71 hours of Stepehen Fry's narration of Sherlock Holmes on audible, this was a splendid dessert. I have enjoyed three of Andy Wier's books previously and this novella is of the same high standard. and it is so true to form of the original sherlock stories

A fun little tale
Andy Weir demonstrates his writerly chops once again, this time giving us a look at the villainous Moriarty's early exploits in evil.
If you're a fan of Sherlock Holmes, or little mysteries, get this one - it's short, but sweet!

Good Fun
Interesting read to have the main characters as the dark side, parallel to Holmes and Watson…
It is a pity there were not more stories
