Dan has made a new life for himself in a small New Hampshire town: he works in a nursing home, where he uses the shining to comfort dying patients and begins to attend AA meetings in an attempt to finally get sober. Finally, he settles in a New Hampshire town, an AA community that sustains him and a job at a nursing home where his remnant 'shining' power provides the crucial final comfort to the dying. Aided by a prescient cat, he becomes 'Doctor Sleep'. Then Dan meets the evanescent Abra Stone, and it is her spectacular gift, the brightest shining ever seen, that reignites Dan's own demons and summons him to a battle for Abra's soul and survival....

The only sequel ive ever really loved. Perfect
Dr Sleep took me right back into the chair where i read the original book which is my favourite of all time.

Satisfying
If you are a fan of The Shining give this a listen as it does justice to the wonderment of what happened to Danny. As usual King provides a strong story, compelling antagonist, and introduces other elements of interest to keep the story flowing. Will Patton gives a Stirling effort in his reading.

Thank you Stephen King
It’s been a long long time since I’ve read a Stephen King book but once I was a die hard fan.
This is my first audible book and I’m absolutely amazed and spell bound, I just could not stop listening, I was addicted. The narrator is brilliant and Stephen King, Boom! He is back.
