Publisher's Summary

To commit the perfect murder, you need the perfect cover.

On a cold icy morning, a mother wakes to find her daughter’s blood-soaked body frozen to the road. Who would carry out such a horrific killing on the victim’s doorstep?

Straight off her last harrowing case, Detective Erika Foster is feeling fragile but determined to lead the investigation. As she sets to work, she finds reports of assaults in the same quiet South London suburb where the woman was killed. One chilling detail links them to the murder victim - they were all attacked by a figure in black wearing a gas mask.

Erika is on the hunt for a killer with a terrifying calling card. The case gets more complicated when she uncovers a tangled web of secrets surrounding the death of the beautiful young woman.

Yet just as Erika begins to piece the clues together, she is forced to confront painful memories of her past. Erika must dig deep, stay focused and find the killer. Only this time, one of her own is in terrible danger....

From the global million-copy best-selling author comes a totally heart-racing, hold-your-breath listen that will keep you hooked until the very last minute.

***Mind blowing ending***

Robert Bryndza never fail to blow my mind, this is an incredibly intelligent and well thought off plot and the characters are well developed. It's gripping and totally sucked me in from beginning and not prepared for the austounding twist ending that blew my mind. Detective Erika Foster took a bit of a backseat in favour of Detective Kate Moss, it chilled my bones when the killer got hold of Moss. Jan Cramer is brilliant as always. I am happy for Detective Petersen but sad for Erika I do hope she will get her happy ending.

A little off putting with some errors although a great story.

This was great but some errors. John McGorey is sometimes a DC and Then a DI. He missed DS. It was a little off putting. Not sure whether writer error or narrator error.
The story was fantastic though. Disappointed about poor Erika and her still not having someone special. I thought Peterson was it. Damn!

I enjoyed Deadly Secrets

Most of the book was a page turner. Robert Bryndza was able to portray the multiple facets of a women’s professional and personal life realistically.
The book was too long. The ending wasn’t believable.

Hard to listen to

The story was rather good but oh how I wish I had read this book instead of listening to the audible version. As in other books she has narrated, Jan Cramer speaks with such a belligerent voice that it makes it impossible to find the book credible. I can’t believe that all English people are so whiney and miserable. The narrator in this book certainly portrays that.
