Publisher's Summary

When Sienna Hegarty turns up at his family home one night, covered in blood and frozen in shock, psychologist Joe O'Loughlin finds himself drawn deep into her world, trying to unearth the dark secrets her mind has buried. The police find a major piece of the puzzle at Sienna’s house: her father, a retired cop, is face-down in a pool of his own blood, his throat slashed and his skull caved in. The blood covering Sienna was his.
The 14-year-old can’t remember what happened that night but, at the same time, Sienna doesn’t mourn her father’s death. What was going on behind closed doors in the Hegarty household? Is Sienna guilty of brutal murder? And what part has her charismatic teacher, Gordon Ellis, played in this blood-soaked event?

Somewhat convoluted & too coincidental for belief.

Not bad. Some interesting insights into psychology. Several times my unbelief meter clanged loudly.

Perfect Combination

Robotham and Barrett.
Downloaded 'Bleed for Me' after listening to ''The Wreckage'. Apart from being great stories, well told, I am finding that the situations used are ones I could perhaps skip away from, only to find when I bit the 'bullet' and started listening I found myself interested and engaged. Being written mostly in first person, present tense does bring an immediacy to the story. The pace is consistent to the end. A good listen.
I am not surprised Michael Robotham has won The Ned Kelly twice, and is in good company with Peter Temple (also a winner of The Ned Kelly).

Superb!

This is an evenly paced novel that is brilliantly narrated. Robotham's first person writing style is great.

Entrawling Listen..

I have listened to three other Michael Robotham books; The Suspect, Shatter, and Lost. Bleed for Me has topped all of them.

I couldn't wait to get back to it when I had to pause or stop the track. The story twists and turns and is peppered with interesting characters that have a lot of depth. Michael Robotham has obviously honed his writing skills as there is detail where needed and the pacing is pretty spot on. I highly recommend this read to anyone, especially those who like detective thrillers and if you liked Shatter you will definitely like this.

Brilliant

Absolutely brilliant, time just raced by listening to this, I was so disappointed when it ended, my only gripe is that there are too few of this authors audio books available. I cannot wait for the next one. The narrator was just right as well. He brought each character to life.
