One of the best of the Brunetti series
This is well-worth buying both for the story and the depiction of the Venetian lifestyle and the islands in the Laguna. The narration is also excellent.
Hugely enjoyable!

Bad narrator decision
The story is great but reading the main character with Italian accent is ridiculous they would have been speaking pure unaccented venetian or Italian and giving them accents imposes Anglo Saxon biases in them - quite spoilt listening
