Publisher's Summary

[Contains explicit content] Sounds Like America is a wild sound collage of the United States as seen by the people who know it best and tell it like it really is: comedians.

Hosted by a rotating cast of seasoned comics, each episode covers a different American pastime, region, city, characteristic, or zeitgeist. The show opens with a host introduction, followed by a sound collage that features stand-up comedy, funny interviews with special guests and folks on the street, and even local music. It’s a hilarious (and sometimes touching) tribute to our complicated country.

cut~mismatched incoherent content

Each episode is a collection of random audio clips. With all the comedian bits scattered in with little to no cohesion. More seems like advertisements railing on in the background during an ad break. The tempo and flow of each episode seems mismatched. Even though there is an overall theme for each episode it just seems off.

I could only stand a few episodes, however, it might get better but it honestly felt like a chore to do so rather than out of enjoyment.

Erratic and annoying

Full of tiny sound clips that half the time make little sense. Claims interviews yet had none. Not for me.

Interesting listen

A good mix of comedians providing a different take on various aspects of different parts of America. There were some hilarious moments in there and other very relatable stories as well. Good short soundbites from numerous comics per episode as a "collage" of whatever the subject matter was - took the edge off of using public transport.

A different way to experience America!

A very interesting way, to say the least, to hear about the parts of America. From the people who live there, perform all over it and tell it as it is. Not as funny as I had hoped, but a good listen none the less.
