Madness and incantations in the nightmares of poets. Vicious ancient cults in the mountains and swamps. A corpse city rising in the sea. After Professor Angell meets a sudden and mysterious end, Francis Thurston, while sorting through his uncle's papers, makes a fateful discovery that ties these malignant manifestations together. Taken together, what they awaken from the deep will, as Francis warns us, "Open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the deadly light into the peace and safety of a new dark age."

minor peeves

Great story, only thing thst annoyed me is the pronounciation of "Cthulhu" and "Dunedin" being from New Zealand that was irritating. Its pronounced Dun-e-din just as its spelt. othrr than that it was great!

Not bad

Overall, it was alright. The voice actor was great that was reading the book. But because it was made so long ago i feel like it didn't really scare me at all. Maybe it is because i couldn't relate to the character. But i am glad i finally got to hear a h.p lovecraft ebook.
