Publisher's Summary

Children are not supposed to rescue their parents, life is supposed to be the other way around. And rescues aren't supposed to be needed on the trip out to the new colony planet Valhalla. Slow, yes. Boring, yes. Dangerous? No, the trip is not supposed to be dangerous, never has been.

When thieves attack the transport ship to steal an ancient alien artifact, and young Kaylee and her brother, Manny, are cut off from their parents, they have to stop the thieves from getting what they want, because once the thieves have the artifact, they're not leaving any witnesses.

Good Story. Very well performed

Craig's first I think. A good story but not the same level as Expeditionary Force which IMHO has set a new bar for SF. Still worth a listen.

Where to next?

Great story...my kids are appreciative of the ‘hero children’.

We are eagerly anticipating the next book in the series.

Disappointing

Disappointing story & the narrator was ok mostly but made a 12yo sound like a whining 7yo which was annoying.

An enjoyable listen

An overall pleasant and satisfying story. My only critique is that the voices for most of the antagonists are a bit cartooney, like caricatures of dumb bad guys from Warner Brothers cartoons. But that’s being picky.

It’s a good easy listen. Give it a go.

Two Kids Save The Day

The family is leaving earth for Valhalla on a cago ship. 14 year old Kaylee and 12 year old Manny don't want to go. The ship is attacked by a gang who gets named Pirates and so starts an adventure in which the kids end up heroes.
Loved every minute of this story. Well narrated
