Publisher's Summary

As statistics tell us that most of the "ventureholics" who go out on their own to start a business will ultimately fail; and, as readers will learn, the main reason for this is because most businesses are not started the right way. Based on decades of experience working with small business owners, Michael Gerber will teach budding entrepreneurs his one-of-a-kind seven-step method - which is meant to be conceptualized long before the doors are ever opened, and what will ultimately position business' for long-term success and growth.

Not by writing a business plan or spending countless amounts of resources on marketing will readers learn what is essential to creating a successful small business. By following the methodology outlined in this book small business owners will be able to build a solid structure for their business - what it looks like, how it works, the fluency of performance, etc. It is not until these seven-steps are considered and fully-executed that the business will be prepared for growth.

MICHAEL E. GERBER is a best-selling author and founder and chairman of E-Myth Worldwide, a company that transforms the way small-business owners grow their companies. He has coached, taught, and trained over 60,000 small businesses in 145 countries, which has led him to become the world's preeminent small-business guru.

Stop the three repeats.

I’m sure there is a valuable story but I am personally sick of the constant repetitions get it, if you repeat yourself three times it sinks in but you must have done it a 100 times in three chapters. After the E-Myth this is a huge disappointment.

a bit too preachy, but many gems of wisdom

it was ok, a bit too preachy at times, but many gems of wisdom. maybe the blinkist version would get to the point a lot quicker.

Rambling verbosity clouds the point

There were a couple of good points in here but the majority is this guy rambling about an existential change. Which is apparently what you do when you ask the right questions.
Save your brain, read a summary document instead.

Very Disappointing

First part is an endless list of things a business owner has to do. Constant repetition is nauseating.

Repetitive and irritating

Fluff, repetition and unnecessary god talk. I found the tone irritating and nothing extra you wouldn’t get from the emyth

A big disappointment

I was very disappointment with this book. I expected to gain some ideas on how small business can survive and thrive but unfortunately this book was just motivation.

Now I realise why Audible released this freely to all paid members.

This book is not worth the price. You will not get any ideas as a small business owner.
