Very little depth. Repetitive

Here's the book in 20 seconds: Real millionaires are thrifty. Just saved you eight hours and a credit. Do yourself a favour and give this one a miss.

Live within your means

More relevant to America. Felt points were excessively laboured. Basically, live within your means. The apparently rich versus the actually rich.

5 mins real valuable content explained in 8 hours

Too many examples. It needs an hour to explain a simple concept. I had to speed up, fast forward, eventually, skip charter... I don't recommend to buy. It's better to find some abstract online. It saves you money and your time.

Excellent balance of stats & storytelling

Although dry and brain-power-intense at times; huge numbers of statistics in small spaces of time, it was an excellent balance of factual information and case studies, narrated wonderfully.

highly recommend as an introduction to accumulating wealth, but I really would appreciate an up to date version to reflect current realities.

This book is ageless. It will always be relevant.

My wife and I didn’t have an easy start but we always worked extremely hard and definitely frugal. No option. We bought out first home in my early forties as I sunk every spare dollar and minute into a blue ocean design and manufacturing business which is now 36 years old. We may have been successful and we are “teaching our children still how to fish”. What a great term. They are all succeeding and hopefully will also build wealth and happiness. Thank you Thomas and William in 2020.

A Classic Work - probably in the Top 20 list for Building Wealth

The book powerfully debunks the popular image of the rich as an elite group, who spend all day drinking champagne, eating caviar and lazily sunbathing on their luxury yachts. Instead, the book describes the reality of wealthy individuals - people who value financial freedom far more than spending money on luxuries. The academic authors use an extensive amount of statistical research to make their case. I found that the second half of the book was a bit slow and focussed too much on the children of the rich and their likelihood to succeed. Apart from that issue, the book was well worth reading.
