Story
This Is Going to Hurt was the publishing phenomenon of the century, read by many millions, loved by at least fifty of them, and adapted into a major TV series. But it was only part of the story. By turns hilarious, heartbreaking and humbling, Undoctored is about what happens when a doctor hangs up his scrubs, but medicine refuses to let go of him. Undoctored is Adam Kay's funniest and most moving book yet—an astonishing portrait of a life in and out of medicine, from one of Britain's finest storytellers.

Story
Tim Booth is shocked when his first emergency call-out for someone short of breath turns out to be an adult man with a blocked nose. Far from beginner's luck, this turns out to be an omen for the rest of his paramedic career. Between the obligatory stories of objects lodged in body cavities to grown men who can't look after themselves when their wives are away, Tim finds that the promised life-saving moments are far outweighed by the trivial, frustrating and bizarre ambulance callouts.

Story
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction,” eating little and weighing herself five times a day. She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income.

A fantastic listen, laugh out loud type of book
loved this book. I never realised Doctors were treated so badly, shame on the system. To loose good doctors like this, who make you smile, and know they care is sad. I recommend everyone to read /listen to this. its so well written and spoken. cant wait for book 2 ??

Enjoyed this immensely
As someone who works in health care administration, I found this book relatable and interesting. The humour was wonderful but it was poignant and engaging. Great story telling that explains so much about what is wrong with our health care systems.

I’ve never laughed so hard!
I absolutely love that this was narrated by the author, he did such a brilliant job. The stories were absolutely fascinating and while some with funny it was most definitely in the delivery. I have never laughed so hard at a book. There is only one other book I ever remember laughing out loud this much at! I highly recommend it.
