Charming Story of a chinese/australian family

No! I can't believe it ended. I want to hear more
Such a great read. I'm recommending it to friends and giving each of my family a copy!!! So good.

Funny, sad, sometimes unsettling
An autobiography that mixes the challenges of race, immigration and sexuality in Australia in the setting of a home life that is both very difficult and somewhat privileged.
I enjoyed the story, it was a good ride. Written in a series of anecdotes, it's timeline wasn't linear and jumped back and forth across about a decade, which made it a little difficult to keep track of things. Each section ended with a little phrase or reference, most of which were funny or poignant, but a number missed the mark and felt contrived.
Law narrated well and allowed plenty of wry humour to come through.

Funny, poignant with many great stories
Growing up gay in Brisbane and regularly travelling to the Sunshine Coast I loved this collection of stories. Really took me back to my youth! Benjamin shares the highs and lows and tells a great story. Highly recommended.

excellent enjoyable fascinating
so funny. such a different family from mine. I enjoyed the frank honesty and felt for ben through the hard times. enjoying the tv show now too.
