Watchman Nee's Story, Dutifully Told

This biography, evidently compiled with the insight, detail and excellent spirit its subject demands, is a fitting ode to one of the finest and most effective spiritual teachers/martyrs of modern times. Set against the backdrop of China's trade with the West, Christian missions, Japanese occupation, and the rise of communism, it will resonate with Christ-seekers, eliciting passion, heartbreak, indignation and inspiration from the true events, and "truth events", of this remarkable peice of history. I had read Nee's writings, but this book filled a deep desire in me to be absorb the context in which his powerful message was forged and tested. I thank God for Watchman Nee, the gospel he taught, and also for Angus Kinnear's book about him. I cannot remain the same, and if you really soak it all in, neither will you.
