Great interspecies read
A different take on a wolf story, it takes you through a world that you know it fiction but one that we can relate to. The characters are emotional and interesting.

Great HEA
I've read MC, shifter and MM books and love that this book is all of them and so much more. I fell in love with both Axel and Bayden. Am dieing for more of them! this book is definatley on my reread list.

Awesome tale (tail)
An unputdownable story of a young werewolf with loyalties to his pack in a deeply prejudiced world where he has been taught to hate humans and vice versa. He needs an alpha wolf, but can he submit to a human dom he may want but could maybe never trust? It doesn’t help that he can’t say no to a fight or being bashed senseless in a bdsm session to earn money for his mother and grandfather. Not good submission material. I probably can’t do it justice, but this story is exciting, moving, and incredibly erotic. If you’re over silly, predictable MM romances and fancy something darker and more satisfying then this is your book.
The narration is the cherry on top. Just amazing.

Long but incredibly good!
Werewolves have always been treated badly by humans, but since the imposition of the anti-pack laws, life has been particularly difficult as werewolves have no legal protections. A young lone werewolf, Bayden can only earn money two ways, through sex or fights, and he makes the best money where men wear leather. When Bayden enters Axel’s bar / motorcycle club, the Dragon’s Lair, the dom sees nothing but a spoilt and arrogant pup. However, over time, he starts to understand and appreciate the daily struggle Bayden faces. Look, this was long (560 pp, 20+ hrs on audio) but SO worth it. Axel is an incredibly wise dom, he doesn’t always get it right but he learns and he’s innately good. Bayden has a lot to untangle: an alpha father who dies rather than submit, and a fearful mother and grandfather who just try to be ‘good wolves’. Kim Dare has really captured the alienness of Bayden’s mindset, how he doesn’t understand or trust humans, and how difficult it is for Axel to break down his walls - it’s an amazing exploration of racial prejudice as well as a moving BDSM romance. UK audio narrator Chris Clog is also excellent. I loved every moment!
