Publisher's Summary

A nail-biting, breath-taking story about the disappearances of two young women - a decade apart - told in reverse. It's been 10 years since Nicolette Farrell left her rural hometown after her best friend, Corinne, disappeared without trace. Then a letter from her father arrives - 'I need to talk to you. That girl. I saw that girl.' Has her father's dementia worsened, or has he really seen Corinne? Returning home, Nicolette must finally face what happened on that terrible night all those years ago. Then, another young woman goes missing, almost to the day of the anniversary of when Corinne vanished. And like 10 years ago, the whole town is a suspect. Told backwards - Day 15 to Day 1 - Nicolette works to unravel the truth, revealing shocking secrets about her friends, her family and what really happened to Corinne.

Kept me captivated til the end - Great listen!

Thriller that twirls you up, then pulls and watches as you spin and whirl undone. Then when you think it is over, you start to spin back up. I was kept on the edge of my "seat" with this great listen. My first experience with this narrator and I thoroughly enjoyed her perfermance. This will linger with me for years to come. I love the idea of tell things going back from day x to day 1 (not a spoiler as it says that in the blurb).

Boring

So slow and drawn out and not the best story ever. Some may like it but it just was not for me

Thoughtful

Awesome story confusing until I remembered it was being told backwards. Characters were well written and likeable. Missing girls is definately a book i would recommend to my friends.

All the missing girls - boring boring boring

I read reviews that were both positive and not so good - the book to me was hard to get your head around as it is written backwards - it was boring - the story was ok but I was relieved when it was over . This is the only book I have read from this author and don't think I would consider another.
